Valuable Voter

Chana-with whole family

Voter, even valuable voter! What is it? An Indian man named Chana. At present he is called a valuable voter in the world. The voter is not a famous leader, not a minister or president and not any most famous person. But perhaps he is the greatest demandable voter in the world now. But why?

Recently the news is published by AFP. According to the news that, a polygamist and sect leader named Zionnghaka Chana has become the most demandable voter to local politicians in India.

Because of the big number of his family members, politicians seek his votes very much. The man of northeastern state of Mizoram in India has 39 wives and 127 children and grandchildren.

At the moment of the mammoth election of India in Mizoram are being held in nine phases from April 7, politicians rush at his home of 100 rooms in the hills of Baktawng village outside the state capital Aizawl.

In accordance with the news, Chana, 70, told AFP, “We were witnessing a rush of politicians seeking votes in the last few days. During every election we are much in demand as the winning margins of politicians in this state are slim, so even 100-odd votes matter to them."

Like most voters at this election, Chana said he wanted clean government and development so that his family could prosper.

"All we want is good governance and the wellbeing of the state instead of personal gains for our family from the politicians," he said.

"When we go to vote, we always cast our ballots for the same candidate or party. That means more than 160-odd votes are assured from one family," said one of Chana's wives, Rinkmini.

But, our non-aesthetic governments or organizations don’t give any award for such activities. I think, if any award will be given yet many aesthetic family would enrich their family like Chana. Then o
ur candidates would not more work hard to get votes in the elections, ha..ha..ha….
