New Discovery : Earth Sized Planet Kepler-186f

Recently the scientists of NASA have discovered a new friend of the Earth. They give nickname of this planet is "Earth Cousin" . The rocky planet Kepler-186f was found in the Milky Way of the Earth planet which size is similar almost of the Earth. This is a historic discovery of the first truly Earth-size planet found in the habitable zone around its star

The exoplanet is located in the constellation Cygnus at a distance of about 500 light-years from Earth. Scientists assume that it could have liquid water and most probability of hosting life.

Kepler-186f orbits its star once every 130 days and receives one-third the energy that Earth does from the sun, placing it near the outer edge of the habitable zone. Scientists said that the beam of light is enough for breathing life.

It may be mentioned that if you could stand on the surface of Kepler-186f, the brightness of its star at high noon would appear as bright as our sun is about an hour before sunset on Earth.

“The discovery of Kepler-186f is a significant step toward finding a planet that is like our Earth." ”said Paul Hertz, NASA’s Astrophysics Division director at the agency’s headquarters in Washington.

NASA's Kepler Space Telescope discovered the planet. The telescope found at least 1000 planets from 2009 still now.
