Only 'Bir Bikram' of Aborigines U.K. Ching Passes Away

Only freedom fighter of aborigines of Bangladesh U.K. Ching breathed his last on 25th July, 2014, Friday morning at 6.00am at Chittagong Medical College Hospital on account of brain brain stoke.He was 84 years old. He was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure for long time.

He was an inhabitant of Bandarban. He was a freedon fighter and he obtained award of 'Bir Bikram' by the Bangladesh Government for the contribution in the war of independence of Bangladesh on 1971. It may be mentioned that, he was an only 'Bir Bikram' awarded as a freedom fighter of aborigines in Bangladesh.He took part in the freedom war on 1971 in several areas along the border of
the country.

The Whole Bandarban descended with mourns over his death.His relatives including civilians and military officers, representatives of political parties, police super and his of hill tracks crowd to a look him for last phase at his home in Bandarban. U.k. was born in 1933 in Bandarban. He had two sons and one daughter.



There is a road in the city in honor of U.k. Ching and a bust sculpture of him in the tourist spot 'Nilachal' near the city in Bandarban. The local government authority provided all kinds of financial help to his families. Everybody hope peace of his departed soul. We salute and honor him for ever.
