"Wow! Awesome" - US Ambassador



27th Dec. on Friday 2013, US Ambassador in Dhaka, Bangladesh Dan Mozena visited Jahangirnagar University premises to catch a glimpse of exotic winter guest birds who have flocked to Bangladesh flying hundreds of miles from a distant land with the advent of winter.


Every year various kinds of beautiful birds come hare and the water bodies come to life with the
chirping of migratory birds at the winter season. Lot of tourists both local and international often visit the place to watch the charming scenery.




Mozena came to the mist-lapped campus at around 7:30 am but the university authorities didn't know anything in this connection. Because he paid a sudden-visit without any informing the University authorities..

"Some students accompanied the US diplomat in watching birds by the lake. They also greeted him with roses. He joined all on tea at a makeshift shop. An ornithologist of the University named Prof Mostofa Firoz also accompanied him at that time.

Really, it is very delightful to us that to visit the natural beauties of our country of any foreign envoy.

The Ambassador visited the wildlife care centers and main water bodies of the university campus. He extremely delighted watching the guest birds and enjoyed very much the red water lilies in full bloom.

He went effusive while having a close look at whistling ducks and other migratory birds flipping and flapping their wings and was heard exclaiming: "Wow! Awesome!"
